Many Americans paraphrase Desi Arnaz’s “I Love Lucy” character, Ricky Ricardo, saying “Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do…” when we see someone who has not been honest with us. But a new development in the ongoing story of pop media bias towards big government indicates that the Washington Post and the Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NAID) at the National…

As he has done numerous times in the last year, writer, actor, and Monty Python co-founder John Cleese on April 13 again defended comedy and free expression from the cancel mob, this time taking a kind-hearted, humorous approach to actor Hank Azaria’s apology for voicing the character of Apu on “The Simpsons.” During an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, Azaria recently related an…

As one might expect to see when studying one of the most anti-freedom states in the union, the Connecticut legislature is ready for an April 19 vote on the House and Senate versions of legislation that would revoke the so-called “religious exemption” residents could claim in order to refuse government-mandated injections. Lee Ann Ducat reports for ChildrensHealthDefense: Despite strong…

Remember when the slippery Chief Executive of the U.S., Franklin D. Roosevelt, tried to pack the Supreme Court so that his patently unconstitutional New Deal schemes like Social Security would be dubbed “constitutional?” And remember when, after then-presidential candidate Joe Biden repeatedly dodged questions about whether he would add seats to the Supreme Court (as if that were some standard…

It’s becoming more difficult to distinguish government actions from absurdist satire. Even as miscreant politicians and bureaucrats continue to push residents apart, to force them into Zoom Rooms and into calling for “take-out-pick-up-at-the-door” rather than getting together in person, the unctuous FCC bureaucracy has hatched one of the most insane, time-consuming, expensive mandates in U.S.…

As they already have done five times, the majority on the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) Friday struck down the tyrannical California “COVID-19 Lockdown” edict telling residents that they could not gather for religious purposes in their own homes. And, as one can expect, Chief Justice John Roberts did not side with the majority, did not side with the US Constitution, did not side…

Does Joe Biden think people are stupid, or just so intellectually lazy that they’ll believe him like Dorothy believed the Wizard of Oz’s claims to perform magic? The new El Presidente not only seems hard-pressed to find any portion of the U.S. Constitution he is not eager to shred, as Eric Boehm reports for Reason, Biden wants to double-down on spending in areas where the feds for years have…

On March 22, I noted for MRCTV that John Kerry had joined the ever-growing list of conceited politicians who told others they should abide by unconstitutional COVID “mask” and “distancing” mandates, even as they broke those rules, that his only consistency appeared to be his smug hypocrisy, as previously evinced by his long-time use of a private plane to jet around the globe as a self-styled…

It appears that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s inability to abide by her own fascistic, unconstitutional, and immoral “COVID19” lockdown, mask, and social distancing edicts is not a form of hypocrisy in which only she and her husband eagerly engage. Sure, in spring of 2020, Whitmer ordered Michigan residents to “socially distance” (i.e. become anti-social) and then marched side-by side…

In another case of “missing the forest for the trees,” many Washington, D.C. area taxpayers and parents are fuming over the news that local police boarded a school bus to interfere with a child who took off his magic mask. As Shomari Stone reports for NBCConnecticut.com: A mother and dozens of concerned parents protested outside the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE…
