(UPDATE 1-4-21: Thanks, in part, to Reason's Jacob Grier reporting on this, late last week, a firestorm of public outrage appears to have inspired the Department of Health and Human Services to reverse the EPA course. In a new Reason piece, Grier notes that the HHS Office of General Counsel engaged in a last-minute review of the EPA fine and determined that the penalty "has the force and effect…

Just when one thought the level of Biden hyperbole had reached its max, when his plagiaristic deceptions and his deflections and dodges -- all so easily excused by pop media -- had filled one’s head from ear to ear, the former VP takes it to another absurd level, joining the charlatan Al Gore on the apocalyptic Climate Crisis train. And, as Tom Elliot tweeted on December 28th, his hyperbolic…

Pro-life Americans have been concerned about a potentially cozy relationship between the “President-Elect Biden Team” and abortion promoter, Planned Parenthood, and two new reports appear to confirm that those fears were justified. As DailyWire’s Emily Zanotti writes, the American branch of that international abortion monster is getting out word that it has a powerful friend in supposedly…

Many people are familiar with the British term “soccer hooligans” -- the young “toughs” who engage in tribe-like tricks and thuggery in and out of soccer stadiums as ways to wage war against the fans of an opposing team. Sometimes, it’s funny. Sometimes it’s vicious and criminal. But the Cambridge United Football organization just showed the planet that, evidently, they seem to care more about…

How is it that so-called “journalists” and “editors” continue to try to pass off as "reporting" what really is bald-faced advocacy for, or against, some political cause? We may never know how they can suppress the basic urge to feel shame over their reprehensible actions, but it’s easy to see that they’re not stopping. Case in point: Kelsey Vlamis and Joseph Zeballos-Roig, of Business Insider,…

There still are some courageous dissenters on major news media - folks who, when they speak in favor of the constitutional provisions that are supposed to insulate individual rights from federal and state attack, and who slam the poisonous double-standards of politicians at every level, could be served well by having epic soundtracks behind them.  Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro just emerged as…

CBS Boston recently reported on a “charming” holiday story erupting in Durham, NH, the town that hosts the leviathan of tax-subsidization called the University of New Hampshire. As the Boston TV station notes, because of “complaints” lodged last year, the Durham Town Council decided to remove the colored lights from their living fir tree that has, for years, been the host of said already watered-…

Pathological politicians just used you as hostages in their ploy to further expand government and insult the Founders. Last night, the U.S. Senate passed its combined “COVID19 Relief” ($900 billion) and omnibus “stop-gap” budget/spending bill (nearly $1.4 trillion) to fund the federal gub'ment through September of next year. It’s a monstrosity totaling 5,593 pages that was so large, it had…

In a perfect example of how private property and voluntary association work to show people’s morals and preferences, a large group of New York City restaurant owners are joining forces to permanently ban Governor Andrew Cuomo from ever dining in their establishments. The Washington Examiner’s Michael Lee writes: “A group of New York City restaurants has joined together to ban Gov. Andrew…

In the downward race to see which tarnished Ivory Tower institution can achieve ripe, rotting, postmodernist perfection, the University of Michigan might have taken the lead. Charles Hilu reports for The CollegeFix that the University of Michigan Information and Technology Services has established a (and this is not a joke) “Words Matter Task Force” -- because how else could people decide if…
