Bureaucrats in Massachusetts appear to have modeled themselves after famous Cool Hand Luke character Captain, who, often told Luke, “What we have here is failure to communicate.” Of course, most every failure of the government to communicate sees the civilian portrayed as wrong, and the government as right, and, in this case, it’s a failure to communicate and a lot more.  As WHDH TV 7 reports…

Late Wednesday, March 3, the Democrat-controlled House by a party-line vote of 220-210 passed H.R. 1, the insultingly labeled “For The People Act” that attacks the power of people on the state level to control the parameters of their elections. And good luck to those who want to read the actual text of the bill on the official government website, because those “for the people” people like…

Befitting the bleaker side of “precedent”, Boston University Law School recently announced its courageous appointment of the first “Critical Race Theory” professor in the nation. Reports Adam Burnett, for The College Fix: The private university selected Angela Onwuachi-Willig (right), the law school dean, as the first Ryan Roth Gallo and Ernest J. Gallo Professor. The Gallos endowed the…

Isn’t it great when politicians leave business owners in peace and start their own ventures? When, rather than enslave others, they risk their own money, time, energy, and opportunities? Of course, to believe in such claptrap is to live in a state of denial, and prevents one from looking at reality, in a state such as California. As Christian Britschgi reports for Reason, two California …

By a vote of six to three, the Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States on Friday, Feb 26 issued an order for injunctive relief against Santa Clara County, California, in its enforcement of a church lockdown based on Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order for the state, the court thus reaffirming the right to worship that is supposedly enshrined in the First Amendment and the…

Sometimes, even the most adroit gaslighters have to admit the unabashed falsehood of their clams, and such was the case of the “Great Resetters” at Klaus Shwab’s collectivist World Economic Forum, who, on Saturday, Feb 27, swiftly deleted a much-mocked and widely reviled tweet claiming that “Lockdowns are quietly improving cities around the world.” In the piece, the WEF argued that many people…

In a move that expands the government attack against private property and voluntary association, attacks the meaning of words, will force business owners to accept males as “trans-gender females” in women’s bathrooms, and that will force businesses to fund abortions and sex-change operations of employees, the House Democrat majority Thursday passed, by a vote of 224-206, HR 5 - the perversely…

Sleight of hand. It’s the currency of the magician, to distract with one hand while he picks your pocket with the other. And it’s the tactic of the schoolyard bully, to misdirect using one fist so he can slam you with the other. And it’s precisely what Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) is doing on a legislative/political level with his promotion of what some are mistakenly, sheepishly, accepting…

Libertarian author James Bovard once noted to me that, despite his consistent focus on principles, any interview invites from radio and television hosts seemed to vary, depending on the politicians in power who were breaching those principles. When his book “Feeling Your Pain”, which focused on anti-liberty policies of Bill Clinton, was released, he was shunned by Democrats, and embraced by…

It’s not enough for puritanical, anti-constitutional politicians and their bureaucrat acolytes in the COVID Cult to engage in fear-porn pantomime. It’s not enough to see millions kept from their professions, loved ones, and preferred hobbies. The pop media divisions of the Cult have been sure to assiduously avoid reality, and to suppress information that undercuts their inflated “pandemic”…
