In a shocking story, Peter Hegarty reports for the East Bay Times that the Lafayette, California school system just threatened to have a 12-year-old boy arrested because he missed 90 minutes of Zoom class. Mark Mastrov, the boy’s father, says he received a letter from the school: ’Out of the blue, we got this letter. It said my son had missed classes, and at the bottom it referenced a state…

If there’s one thing to learn about the behavior of collectivists over the centuries, it is that, without hesitation or shame, they will utilize any vector to gain more power. Case in point: the latest desperate move conducted by CNN, in which we can see that not even “family ties” can save he who dares not conform to the statist agenda.     As The New American’s James Murphy writes,…

Folks who populate the trenches of political-philosophical-economic education sometimes search for allies, comrades who might also be fighting the good fight. We find each other here at MRCTV, and elsewhere -- locally, in families, at churches, and online. And sometimes, we get the added pleasure of seeing a media figure whose work we’ve enjoyed stand up for principles, despite the forces of…

Imagine living in a city where, Mayor London Breed pushes shoveling $1,000 per month for fifteen months to Pacific Islander and black women who get pregnant, and pay them from conception, to six months after birth. Imagine living in a city where a pro-Planned Parenthood Mayor can’t keep human excrement off city streets, where deaths of homeless people have skyrocketed, and where more than…

It’s hard to find news more obvious and infuriating. With a tip o’ the hat to Twitter user “Fool Nelson”, who appears to be one of the first to have sounded the alarm, The Washington Examiner reports that Anna Makanju, the so-called “Election Integrity” executive for Facebook – the person in charge of determining whether posts that have some bearing on “the election” are true or false, allowed…

Precious “democracy.” After incessantly being told that the United States system of national government is a “democracy,” despite it being a constitutional, confederated republic that only utilizes democratic means of elections for the House and Senate… After teachers hammered nonsense about “self-government” being equal to “representation” in “OUR democracy,” and despite “representative”…

Psychedelic-alternative band The Flaming Lips have been around since the 1980s, making their name early in their career with songs like “The Ceiling Is Bendin’” and gaining renown for more “alt” hits as well as their their lead singer/writer, Wayne Coyne’s, practice of slipping into a giant, clear, ball to roll over the crowd. But now, in what might be the ultimate in “audience-participation-non-…

It's been a watershed week for Americans who pay attention to political forces undermining the US Constitution and the limits it is supposed to place on the federal and state governments. The exposure came as ever-so-charming Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) attempted to “grill” Supreme Court nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett on various articles or opinions Barrett has offered pertaining to…

As time goes by, it becomes clearer and clearer that most pop music fans and critics – and many of the poseurs play-acting at what some call “punk rock” -- have never understood the punk rock movement. But now, as Cancel Culture Karens lob word grenades at titanic music figures such as Morrissey, Roger Daltrey, Van Morrison, and The Reverend Horton Heat for standing in favor of various “gauche…

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has been dealt the jurisprudential blow she deserves. As Hill Faith reports, on Friday afternoon U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Trevor McFadden ruled in favor of the historic Capitol Hill Baptist Church in its request for a preliminary injunction against the Bowser’s ban on congregational meetings of more than 100 people. ’The Court…
