Ahh, democracy. Mob rule. Or, as Ben Franklin is said to have noted, “two wolves and a lamb voting over what to have for lunch...” Aristotle warned the ancients about “democracy” and advised that any government system that purports to “protect rights” must have a written constitution limiting the political power the “majority” can wield against others. But many pop media members don’t care…

Judge David Counts, of the U.S. Federal District Court of Western Texas, Pecos Division, in a monumental ruling not only found in favor of the right to keep and bear arms, he did so with artistry and an eye toward the corrosive power of political normalcy bias. In the November 10 decision in the case of “United States of America v Litsson Antonio Perez,” Counts ruled that even if government…

Contemporary political stories offer a lot of education, if one can get over the personality-oriented attacks and instead focus on the institutions, the history, the economics, the ethics, and the so-called rules that those personalities might be attacking or sustaining. Take, for example, the education one can get by noting the U.S. Department of Education's removal of its “Student Loan…

Like some bizarre cross between an old time snake oil salesman and a globe-hungry James Bond baddie, former U.S. Vice President Al “Let’s Have The Government Label Music” Gore arrived at the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt with a wonderful technocratic gift in tow. No, he didn’t come presenting heirloom editions of his utterly unbelievable, data-straining,…

As if the dyspeptic display of eternally irritable Climate Cultists arriving in PRIVATE JETS for the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) in lovely Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt, weren’t enough of an in-your-face display of hypocrisy, soon after the globalist/internationalist/UN/fraudsters started their week-long ritual of false narratives, manipulated stats, fear-mongering, plans to restrict…

On November 4, the House Judiciary Committee Republicans released a 1,000-page report detailing what its majority describes as “a rampant culture of unaccountability, manipulation, and abuse at the highest level” of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Prompting many of us to ask: “What took you so long?” It’s not a petty response. It’s not a “sour grapes” mentality. It’s simply a…

Recall, if you’ve seen them, those stark comparisons of communist North Korea and much freer South Korea at night, images showing the brilliantly lit south and the abyssal black of the north, that testify to how collectivism can take formerly united, culturally similar populations – people now merely split by arbitrary political borders – and cast half of them into the dark world of…

Concerned Americans likely recall the September 1 CNS bombshell on the California Assembly taking its “licensing” absurdity to a new level. In passing AB 2098, the Golden State government established a first-in-the-nation precedent -- combining the fascist “licensing” paradigm (i.e., “you can’t work without our permission”) with the authoritarianism of speech controls, allowing the Medical…

Hot on the heels of imposing the most aggressive attack on the right to keep and bear arms in Canadian history, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is racing towards another set of ghastly goals. Given the leftist bent of the Canadian House of Commons and Senate, a bill that claims for the central government the power to control information online – to the extent of censoring personal user content on…

People interested in the struggle for free speech, fair play, and the free market likely have seen a profusion of new reports revealing the “sides” certain social media and video platforms are choosing. Are they aligning with liberty and honesty, or statism and censorship? As MRCTV’s Nick Kangadis reported Wednesday, YouTube just suspended popular conservative commentator Steven Crowder – just…
