The storm has begun. Virginia’s Democrat governing majority has readied multiple bills to abscond residents’ firearms and the rights to keep, bear, and buy or sell arms. Seventeen states have passed so-called “Red Flag” bills, utterly dismissing most of the Bill of Rights, and politicians in 29 other states have proposed them. And now, a “representative” in the Massachusetts legislature has…

By any measure, the victory last night of “Brexit” Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party over socialist, “Remainer” Jeremy Corbin and his Labour acolytes in the British Parliamentary elections is historic. As of 10 am EST, the DailyMail reports: The huge tally of 365 seats was confirmed this afternoon as the Tories held on to St Ives, the last of the 650 to declare. This has utterly…

Many leftists accuse liberty-lovers of being “radical.” And to that, one can gladly plead “guilty,” because "radical," derived from Greek for “radish" or "root," simply means one who gets “to the root” of things. Which leads us "radicals" to this new tale and how it allows us to see the root of the larger problem. On first blush, it looks like a smart Arizona guy making a point. According to…

In the 1960s, Patrick McGoohan’s iconic individualist “The Prisoner” was stripped of his name, told he was “Number Six,” and imprisoned in “The Village.” In the 1990s and beyond, the dulcet-toned Hillary Clinton told the world that “it takes a village,” implying not voluntary aid based on mutual respect and love, but state force. Now, it seems that residents of a certain hamlet in Ohio have…

For years, individualists of many stripes have warned that the agenda of many “Climate Change” propagandists has been to create a world-wide tax-regulation scheme backed by a world police force, likely an offshoot of the United Nations. And now, as the spurious claims, faulty predictions, secret communications about data manipulation, and enormous methodological errors of many prominent “…

Big news on the self-defense front. As I reported for MRCTV last week, and as MRCTV’s Eric Scheiner discussed with OAN’s Graham Ledger the very next day, the Democrat-held Virginia legislature has seen numerous members propose a fusillade of aggressive and flagrantly anti-constitutional bills that would strip people of their arms and their inherent right to keep and bear them. But…

The tragic-comic figure of Joe Biden presents a lot of paradoxes. On the one hand, he presents himself as “one of the people”, yet he’s just been caught claiming he “knows more than other people know”, and has implied he has a higher IQ than a curious citizen, and then challenged a citizen to do push-ups. On the one hand, he depicts his family background as hard-scrabble, but, on the other, it…

Hold onto your hat, because this might come as a complete and utter shock. Liz Warren, that paragon of philosophical erudition and honest dealing, just told the world that, contrary to what we, her adoring fans, might have expected, she wants to abolish the electoral college. Because, of course, the United States is not close enough to a democratic-socialist dystopia. As reported by Emily…

An aphorism often attributed to Thomas Jefferson, but which was widely in use in the early 1800s reads: “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.” And a case just heard before the Supreme Court of the United States reaffirms the truth of that dictum, especially here, in not-so-free 21st Century America. The case’s wellspring is New York City, and it’s called, “New York State Rifle and…

The more time recedes from the Founding Era, the more the United States’ “Constitutional” framework appears to be a mere sinecure, a set-piece used to placate the bulk of Americans with empty theatrical slogans while the political stage managers and directors do whatever they damn well please. And each decade seems to demonstrate that the problem is becoming more acute, and our liberties are…
