We call this “Bias by Story Selection.” On Sunday night, Scott Pelley – the former CBS Evening News anchor who often trashed Trump for “tweeting tantrums and falsehoods” – spent the first 19 minutes of the 60 Minutes show trashing the pro-Trump “election deniers” in Arizona and how they’re ruining the Republican Party.
NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' is Democrat propaganda again. They should charge the DNC for this.
On CBS Mornings on October 26, feminist actress Elizabeth Banks boasted about her new movie Call Jane, about “these very revolutionary women in Chicago, who pre-Roe, you know, provided really caring and safe abortion care.” Safe for who? Worse yet, Banks insisted “the fact of the matter is that abortion is safer than most dental experiences. It’s safer than a colonoscopy.”
Banks laughably…
CBS Mornings interviewed actress Sigourney Weaver on her new movie celebrating abortion heroes, Call Jane. “I think of this as women’s health care,” insisted Weaver, claiming pro-life activists are now “criminalizing anyone who helps a woman trying to get an abortion and criminalizing the woman, too.” CBS didn’t fact-check her. She’s a liberal actress, after all.
“Republicans wagered that a very focused, intensive effort on elevating issues favorable to them, namely crime and immigration, in ways that don’t actually conform to reality,” New York Times podcast host Michael Barbaro claimed. “I mean, they’re both, in some ways, manufactured crises."
In recent weeks, CNN's "fact checker" Daniel Dale appears on air to trash Republicans for making things up. On Monday, it was Republicans using "defund the police" ads against Democrats. (When Dale fact-checks Democrats on CNN.com, it somehow doesn't get on air.)
CNN's Chris Wallace asked George Clooney about whether he worries about the state of our democracy. (What a softball.) Clooney lamented the "coarsening of our discourse" and pointed to Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott sending illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard or the vice president's residence. Wallace asked nothing about coarse discourse from the Left, especially Hollywood.
In an article reporting on its exclusively-obtained video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi talking to an aide as the January 6 riot unfolded, CNN changed Pelosi’s actual words, in which she expresses her “hope” that Trump would show up at the Capitol, because she wanted (“I want”) to punch him out.
On Friday's PBS NewsHour, Jonathan Capehart and David Brooks here was zero mention of Walker's denials! Jonathan Capehart asserted that conservative radio host Dana Loesch doesn't care about children -- which is always a weird allegation against pro-lifers.
On Sunday's MediaBuzz on Fox News, host Howard Kurtz discussed President Biden's Jackie gaffe with Brian Kilmeade and Democrat strategist Laura Fink. Kurtz underlined CNN and MSNBC completely ignored the gaffe, but Fink claimed ABC, CBS, and NBC all covered it. That is false.
