Many MRCTV readers likely will have noted that over the past week I twice have written about both how the green “Climate Cult” collectivist agenda laid the dark groundwork for the wildfire disaster on Maui and how it made the disaster worse. Specifically, we explored how that particular agenda firmly is connected to a globalist government plan that stealthily has been working with the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), massive and entrenched US political interests, and fantasy-pushing, ideologically tied media and university interests to rig a “climate scare” even as the politicians steal our rights and line the pockets of those who promote or conform to their schemes.
Now, a new article by The Federalist’s Evita Duffy-Alfonso starkly highlights one facet of this creeping agenda, and, moreover, helps ring the proverbial alarm about the confrontation facing freedom-lovers.
Duffy-Alfonso writes about fourteen US Cities that represent the domestic tip of the globalist iceberg and which might help more Americans see the looming fascist dystopia many politically connected people appear eager to force into our near-future. The cities are part of the globe-spanning network of “C40” sites that float atop a frothy mental mix of climate fearmongering, central urban planning, central banking, pork spending, cronyism, and many decades of accumulated licensing, zoning, and “regulatory” power-grabs that far too many civilians have accepted for far too long. It’s all allowed the mission-creep to creep closer to our families and our homes, and this most striking part might serve to finally wake up more of our neighbors.
Duffy-Alfonso tells astute observers that these fourteen US metropolitical members of the “C40” agenda are readying to match New York City’s Climate Cult crawl to ban meat, dairy, and private vehicle use by 2030.
“Fourteen major American cities are part of a globalist climate organization known as the ‘C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group,’ which has an ‘ambitious target’ by the year 2030 of ‘0 kg [of] meat consumption,’ ‘0 kg [of] dairy consumption,’ ‘3 new clothing items per person per year,’ ‘0 private vehicles’ owned, and ‘1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person.’”
And she cites the cities, explaining more:
“C40’s dystopian goals can be found in its ‘The Future of Urban Consumption in a 1.5°C World’ report, which was published in 2019 and reportedly reemphasized in 2023. The organization is headed and largely funded by Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Nearly 100 cities across the world make up the organization, and its American members include Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.”
Those who have watched and tried to warn about this creeping crypto-fascist nanny-statism might be nodding their heads, and likely will continue nodding as they read her exposure of recent developments that the pop media assiduously avoid.
“This year, in lockstep with C40 Cities’ 2030 aims, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the city will place caps on the amount of meat and dairy served by city institutions, such as schools and prisons. Meanwhile, the U.K. has banned the sale of new gas-powered vehicles after 2030, and France has banned short-haul flights ‘to cut carbon emissions.’”
Duffy-Alfonso also notes that the World Economic Forum promotes C40 Cities on its website.

That would be Klaus Schwab’s world-infecting, technocratic, banking-NGO-corporate-state WEF gang, the cabal that, in 2020, introduced Schwab’s “Great Reset” and saw the term and its goals parroted -- and its strategies and tactics iteratively enacted -- by virtually every statist politician in the world. That would be the WEF which, as Duffy-Alfonso correctly notes, “seeks to use the Covid-19 pandemic as a point from which to launch a global reset of society to supposedly combat climate change.”
She also correctly observes that the “climate change” fearmongering is merely a ruse, an indoctrinating confidence-sham that the WEF and C40 Cities pushers use to promote controls, globalist taxes, government seizure of resources, and false assertions that “austerity” is needed to protect the globe – even as their “fixes” smother market options and bring higher costs for everything from energy, to transportation, to the food we put on our plates.
“As the WEF plainly stated in a 2016 promotional video, by 2030 ‘You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy.’
Right now, hedge funds and private billionaires are buying up residential homes and farmland all over the world. At the same time, unrealistic zero-emissions policies are impoverishing Westerners and annihilating the middle class, which is fueling reliance on centralized government. Such intentional steps backward also, ironically, harm the earth because wealthier nations are proven to have cleaner environments and put less strain on natural resources.”
Precisely right, inspiring this writer to think about the number of times he’s stood in lecture halls teaching students about how markets and respect for private property ownership inspire greater efficiency, lower costs, new resource discovery, waste-cutting, abundance, and better living standards.
“Climate activists are also advocating for ‘climate lockdowns,’ in the same way there were Covid lockdowns. Ideas floated for a climate lockdown have ranged from shuttering people in their homes and restricting air travel to providing a Universal Basic Income and introducing a maximum income level.”
Indeed, the lockdowns are coming – and already have come – in many forms. In fact, many people might not realize that when they see Climate Cultists like “Just Stop Oil” engaging in “slow-marches” that block young mom’s from getting infants to hospital, political players and “urban planners” already have engaged in their own blocks and claims of lockdown power for decades.
When people see the insanity of “Fifteen-Minute Cities” and the asinine authoritarianism of London Mayor Saddiq Kahn smothering the city with “beyond-camera” surveillance called “Ultra-Low Emissions Zone” monitors that reinforce his burdensome tolls to keep cars out of the city (Saddiq Kahn is the “Chair” of the C40 Cities steering committee), and when we see long-established “restaurant licensing,” “professional licensing,” and zoning, and the vast array of strong-arm so-called “regulatory” agencies that have clamped their policing cuffs on everything in our lives from our lightbulbs to our options for cars and TOILETS, we can see that too many generations in too many nations idly have sat as freedom’s enemies have not just encircled us and our liberty, but as the enemies have woven their controls into the lives and even the minds of what people think is, somehow, “normal.”

When we see Russian comedians get European Central Bank head Christine Lagarde to admit on a phone call that the ECB (like many collectivists in the US and Canada are striving to do) is planning on using a central bank digital currency (CBDC) to gain social control over people, and when we see that the government of Thailand is pushing a form of “universal basic income” tied to a CBDC that will be specifically :allowed: to buy only certain “things” within a particular radius, we can see the future they want.
It does not include our individual liberty, private property, freedom of movement, privacy, freedom of speech, free trade, or even factual truth.
One look at the terrible set-up that led to the Maui catastrophe tells us not only how widespread this global C40, WEF, electric-vehicle, electric-gridding, resource-controlling, fake-money, Climate Cult regulatory-and-payoff mentality has crept on the practical front, it shows us the hellish results of the most fundamental acquiescence to government invasions of our property and basic individual rights.
The US Constitution supposedly contains barriers against such regulations and usurpations, but it has proven insufficient, and asking the members of the state to police the state is like asking criminal minds to mind and adjudge their own actions.
A rebellion in thinking is necessary to stop the closure of this collectivist trap, and it requires us to recognize the disaster of collectivism in Maui, the encroaching C40 collectivist controls, and the long history of our predecessors’ acquiescence to strangling, rights-invading estrangements from our God-given liberty.
One of the first steps is to spread the word about these matters and the principles involved, and to pay attention to warnings such as those from Ms. Duffy-Alfonso.
