It could be surmised that outgoing National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director “Dr.” Anthony Fauci’s biggest fan is…Fauci himself. He loves to see himself and hear his own voice to the point where some wonder when he has the time to do any research or actually be a “doctor.”

Well, Fauci tooted his own horn again on Tuesday, this time talking about some people’s worshipping of all things Fauci. But, don’t worry. Fauci totally downplayed it by saying that doesn’t impress him — it totally does.

“It’s nice that, you know, that some people idolize me and put me up on a pedestal,” Fauci said. “But, I don’t get impressed by that. I never have.”

Someone who says the first part of what Fauci said almost has to say what he said in the second half of his statement. But again, don’t think for a second that Fauci doesn’t love the attention.

This is the same guy who has previously been seen in interviews with prayer candles featuring himself, as well as portraits of himself.
