Update 9:39 AM: The shooter has been identified as Chris Harper Mercer, 26. Mercer lived in Oregon and California. He had four firearms. Mercer was not a student of the college. The shooter allegedly asked students what their religion was and shot them. NBC News says, survivors of the shooting have stated, "Harper Mercer asked people whether they were Christian or not.
