With former President Trump set to be arraigned on Tuesday in the case of withholding classified documents, the liberal ladies of ABC’s The View celebrated. As part of that display, staunchly racist co-host Sunny Hostin lashed out at all Republicans and suggested, without evidence, that they have had broken “moral compasses” since they were five years old. Meanwhile, co-host Sara Haines falsely claimed that Trump appointed a special counsel to investigate President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents.
“I don't trust this newly-found morality in the Republican Party,” Hostin proclaimed as she kicked off her hot take.
She then launched into an unhinged rant about “child psychiatry” and how “most of our children have their moral compasses by the time they're five years old.” The gist of the argument was to set up her assertion that Republicans were raised from a young age to be morally bankrupt like former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
