On day three of the fight for speaker of the House Thursday, the liberal ladies of The View were fed up with the repeated rounds of voting as Republican infighting dragged it out. Their self-serving solution was to have Republicans just capitulate to the left and vote for either Democratic New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries or allow Democrats to pick which “moderate” Republican they wanted.
Setting the tone early, Whoopi Goldberg began by suggesting Congressman Kevin McCarthy was just as “dangerous” to life, or more so, than the bomb cyclone:
Welcome to The View. Welcome to The View. Listen. We want to start by telling everyone who may be impacted by this bomb cyclone that is slamming into California right now, do whatever you need do to stay safe. They are not fooling around. A state of emergency has been declared so listen to everything that officials are advising because they're letting -- they want you to know this could be very dangerous for a lot of people.
That being said, what can be even more dangerous for a lot of people is this. Kevin McCarthy.
She also falsely suggested McCarthy was selling his children and body parts for votes. “He is making promises of concessions. I mean, he's promising his children. He's saying, you know, I'll give you a heart valve if you need it. Whatever you need, make me the one,” she mocked.
