On day two of her Supreme Court confirmation process, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was forced to defend her position of giving pedophiles and child porn offenders lighter sentences. Her argument entailed loosening the sentences for those with less child porn because there were some with more of it. Despite this questionable argument, the cast of The View spent part of their Tuesday show vehemently defending it by calling it “very normal.”
“But, of course, yesterday some Republicans whose names you know, used their time at the hearing to bitch,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg whined. “They put their grievances out there – grievances from like 1910 all the way up to yesterday. And take a listen to what was said.”
Playing off of that resentment for Republicans, co-host Sara Haines claimed Senator Lindsey Graham took “the mic to troll her a little bit about every other hearing that's ever gone on in the history of time” and “robbed” Americans from seeing a serious hearing with all this scrutiny of Jackson’s record.
She then went on to suggest that looking at her rulings in child porn cases was part of that supposed robbery.
