During Wednesday’s edition of ABC’s The View, fill-in moderator Joy Behar led the rest of the liberal cast in a “game” of floating other possible Democratic candidates for president if President Joe Biden decided to get out of the race. Racist co-host Sunny Hostin put up her heartthrob, California Governor Gavin Newsom. But when pressed on his state’s rampant homelessness crisis, she argued it was fine because he had the right Climate Change policies.
“So, we did talk about maybe the Republican ticket in case Trump gets indicted or brought to jail in handcuffs, whatever,” Behar prefaced the conversation following a commercial break. “But the question is, who would you put in there if Biden decides to get out of the race for whatever reason he comes up with?”
Hostin immediately spoke up to defend Biden and affirm that she didn’t “think he's going to get out” of the race. “Don't answer like a Republican,” Behar quipped, leading Hostin to say she hoped “the Democratic Party would rally around the vice president, Kamala Harris, the way they've rallied around Joe Biden.”
