On the February 14 edition of his MSNBC daytime show, anchor Martin Bashir equated Rick Santorum's social conservatism with the "most extreme" totalitarianism of George Orwell's novel, 1984. "If you listen carefully to Rick Santorum, he sounds more like Stalin," Bashir sneered.
