MSNBC Guest Slams Trump's 'Nixonian' Threat to Revoke Security Clearances

During Monday's edition of MTP Daily, the panel went into full meltdown mode over the announcement that President Trump was looking into revoking the security clearances of a variety of Obama Administration officials, including his CIA Director John Brennan and Former DNI James Clapper in addition to fired FBI Director James Comey and fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Panelist Ken Dilanian described President Trump's threats to revoke security clearances as "Nixonian," accusing him of "threatening to use his power essentially to punish his political enemies."  When guest host Katy Tur pointed out that Comey and McCabe no longer have security clearances, Dilanian responded "Nixon was at least competent when he tried to use the government to punish his enemies."
