The liberal media twisted a report showing how little the Bush administration knew about al Qaeda's planning for 9/11, smarmily suggesting instead that "Bush knew" of the impending assault on New York City, with ABC's Charles Gibson even wondering "was the President really surprised?" when he was informed of the attack on the World Trade Center. Clip shows, in order, CNN's Judy Woodruff (May 15, 2002), NBC's Katie Couric (May 16, 2002), ABC's Charles Gibson (May 16, 2002) and the New York Times Elizabeth Bumiller to Bush at an April 13, 2004 press conference.
