Politics in excess – like many other things – rots your brain, which was evident on Monday’s Halloween edition of The View. While the cast didn’t dress up as the witches they are, they did think it was hilarious and appropriate to force kids to dress up as their favorite political obsessions and parade them around in a demented fashion show. Of course, the costumes involved mocking Trump, bashing Republicans, and taking swipes at average Americans.
Co-host Sara Haines was eager to get into the segment to show off “these Hot Topics costumes for kids,” featuring The View’s wardrobe supervisor Ashley Alderfer-Kaufman. And up first was arguably the most deranged costume to force a kid into: the Mar-a-Lago raid.
“One of the hugest topics that you talked about this year the raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate,” Alderfer-Kaufman touted as the three kids were marched across the stage. “He has all these classified documents, top secret documents. What did he do? He flushed them down the toilet. So, we have Trump as a toilet with our FBI agents.”
