Cuomo Suggests Trump Refused to Lower Flags Because He Hates the Press

CNN host Chris Cuomo wrapped up the first hour of Prime Time by emphatically ranting about President Trump not ordering American flags be flown at half-staff to honor the five journalists killed during the Capital Gazette shooting. According to his speculation, it was because of Trump’s “insensitivity to the dead” and his hatred for the press.

“It's been four days since the most recent mass shooting that robbed this world of five lives, shattered families, and added another layer of shame on all lawmakers for not doing something to stop the damn shootings,” Cuomo began the segment. “So why did this happen? Is there a protocol that would make it weird to respect the dead journalists?

Cuomo then proceeded to rattle off other instances where Trump had ordered flags lowers such as the Las Vegas and Parkland shootings. To make the point about the number of victims not being an issue, he cited the lowering of flags for former First Lady Barbara Bush and Reverend Billy Graham.

“So, why would the mayor of Annapolis say he was turned down with such a no-brainer request,” he rhetorically asked himself. “Now, I'm afraid I know the answer and it's because President Trump doesn't like the media.
