On the March 2, 2016 edition of CNN Tonight, comedian W. Kamau Bell, who host CNN's United Shades of America, loosed this attack on the GOP: “If the Republican Party is a gumbo — the modern Republican Party — the roux of that gumbo is white supremacy, and the core of that is the Ku Klux Klan.”
