Responding to CBN reporter David Brody’s observation that “one of the best things going in Donald Trump’s favor...is the mainstream media” since “62 percent think the media is biased,” Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd refused to concede the media have earned their reputation.
“The conservative echo chamber created that environment,” Todd contended, dismissing the perception of media bias as a result of “a tactic and a tool of the Roger Ailes-created echo chamber, so let’s not pretend it’s not anything other than that.” Todd declared: “It’s not based in much fact.”
The exchange on the Sunday, August 26 Meet the Press:
DAVID BRODY: Look, I think one of the best things going in Donald Trump’s favor — we know this — is the mainstream media. I hate to say it. I know I’m sitting on a Meet the Press roundtable, but the truth of the matter is 62 percent think the media is biased.
