During an interview with 2018 Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, ABC reporter Linsey Davis tossed a series of softball questions at the Democratic media darling, beginning with "do you believe that elections are essentially rigged?" The interview focused heavily on Abrams's effort to "fight voter suppression in 2020 election." Abrams cited voter ID laws, the purging of voter rolls, and the closing of precincts as examples of voter suppression, in addition to labeling voter ID laws racist; apparently failing to realize that minority turnout surged in Georgia in spite of the so-called "voter suppression" in 2018.
