See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. On Tuesday night, the major broadcast networks were quick to laud former President Bill Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) as “heartwarming” and “the most important speech of his life” featuring “vintage Bill” that was akin to him “telling a family story at bar or around the dinner table at a holiday.” Somehow, CBS…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Right on cue, Tuesday night’s MSNBC coverage of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) heaped effusive praise on a team of Black Lives Matter mothers whose sons died in police-involved shootings as a “profound experience” for those in attendance just eight days after they trashed Patricia Smith over a speech about her son’s death in the 2012…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Forgoing much of its regularly scheduled segments to cover live the official nomination of Hillary Clinton for president Tuesday night at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), ABC’s World News Tonight repeatedly harped in the most jittery mood possible about the DNC hall being in “tears” at Clinton becoming the first woman to be a major…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. For the second time since early Friday morning, Matthews aired a taped segment of him showing viewers around his hometown of Philadelphia to some of the city’s top food destinations and this one was to Geno’s Steaks to see how their world famous cheesesteaks are made.      Personally, it’s refreshing to see the bubbling Hardball host step away…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Seconds after Reid sought to spin the DNC’s Wikileaks scandal as overblown, former RNC Chairman and MSNBC political analyst Michael Steele fought back by informing Reid and All In host Chris Hayes that their comrades “in liberal media and liberal politics, don't seem to have the same level of outrage if those e-mails were written by a…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Just as I stated that Matthews had moments of brilliance, he quickly reverted back to the Matthews that NewsBusters readers know all too well. Upon returning from commercial break and a soundbite from Donald Trump commenting on the DNC’s Wikileaks scandal, Matthews blurred on the name of the woman who’s set to step down as Chairwoman: …

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Hardball host Chris Matthews and his panel in the 1:00 a.m. Eastern half-hour were going over New Jersey Senator Cory Booker’s speech when Matthews praised the “thrilling, exuberant, pro-American speech” before he had much larger point to make.  While late-night MSNBC has shown to provide moments where Matthews was running on fumes, this…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. Providing her initial thoughts on the evening and particularly First Lady Michelle Obama’s address, AM Joy host Joy Reid basked in the idea that African-American women were in key roles for the first night of the DNC before having this to say about Mrs. Obama: [F]or Michelle Obama to culminate that in that magnificent, exquisite speech as a…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. The “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC were hard pressed for time on Monday night to comment on speeches at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) by Senators Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (Vt.), but there was time after First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech to gush over her “artfully painted” address featuring “trademark...…

See more in the cross-post on the NewsBusters blog. In the short time between speeches during Monday’s primetime schedule of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), CNN and MSNBC went out of their way to absolutely swoon over Senator Cory Booker’s speech that they deemed “brilliant,” “a home run,” and “powerful” that the assembled pundits claim they hadn’t seen since then-Illinois State…
