For my three days aboard the USS Kearsarge, I was assigned a rack in "Marine female troop berthing." Normally there would be 60 or so enlisted Marines. There was a mix of female trips for this unusual trip.
We were out on the gun deck when Chris noticed a ladder that seemed to go nowhere. Turns out it goes down to a hatch that wasn't easily seen from above. It was a remote and unusual spot with a great view.
