Daily Rundown host Chuck Todd scolded Republican senators for their vote against a UN treaty. He dismissed objections to the UN disability treaty as "fear of a conservative backlash," and omitted any of the legitimate criticisms Republicans had of the treaty.

 On MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, Bob Costas backtracked from his earlier comments that it was a “mistake” to discuss gun control, and stated that he was glad he argued for greater restrictions on firearms and hoped he started a discussion on gun control. Costas also stated that he believed athletes shouldn't own guns because they are too impulsive and aggressive.

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank stated that part of the problem with today's Congress is that Congress is "less autonomous" because "the voters are much more in control." He also stated that active voters live in "two parallel, self-reinforcing universes," and this prevents politicians from governing efficiently.

In a segment on the failures of the Romney campaign on MSNBC's Hardball Susan Milligan of US News and World Report opined that middle class voters faced a difficult choice "Do you vote for the rich guy, or do you vote for the black guy?" Milligan added "I don't think you can deny racism is an issue." Matthews agreed that white working class voters were influenced by racism.

CNN host Howard Kurtz questioned the credibility of Fox News in light of new audio from Roger Ailes encouraging David Petraeus to run for president and past donations and political involvement by Ailes and Rupert Murdoch. Keep in mind, CNN's new president was offered, and nearly took, a position in the prospective Gore Administration.
