No Longer a Threat?: Trump Declares Illegals ‘Will Be Given to Sanctuary Cities and States’

Monica Sanchez | April 15, 2019

President Trump just tweeted declaring that illegal immigrants that “can no longer be legally held … will be, subject to Homeland Security, given to Sanctuary Cities and States."

This comes after his threat to relocate detained illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities “only.”

Trump said during a press conference at the White House on Friday that since sanctuary cities love illegal immigrants so much, "We can give them an unlimited supply."

The White House on Sunday said that while cooperation with Democratic lawmakers to address the crisis on the border was preferable, the plan to send illegals to sanctuary cities was being considered by the Trump administration as an option.

Whether President Trump and the White House have come up with a solution to potential legal issues is unknown at this point.
