Oh, Sammy. How far you’ve fallen. Of course, when you’re a dude strutting around sporting 6-inch stilettos, you’re bound to fall a pretty long way.

It turns out Sam Brinton, Biden’s now-former high-level nuclear waste official with a bald head and goatee who likes to parade around in women’s clothing, was on a taxpayer-funded business trip when he reportedly made off with thousands of dollars’ worth of someone else’s luggage. According to the New York Post, internal government documents show Brinton was flying via United Airlines courtesy of the U.S. Department of Energy for meetings and a site visit to the Nevada National Security Site on July 6, 2022, staying in the Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Vegas Strip for three days before flying out on July 9. Later, in December of that same year, Brinton was arrested and charged with having stolen a woman’s suitcase containing containing about $3,700 worth of jewelry, clothing, and personal items from the Harry Reid International Airport during that same trip - a trip that cost taxpayers $1,951.50, per the documents.

Brinton pled “no contest” to the charges to avoid being put in the slammer, and was ordered to pay the victim just under $3,700 along with $500 in fines and court fees. The ruling also came with a suspended 180-day jail sentence.

In two separate cases, Brinton was also charged with stealing about $2,325 worth of luggage  from baggage claim at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport in September 2022, only to be arrested in May for a third theft at the Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C. Brinton has since been fired from the Department of Energy, which has remained largely mum on the fact that its once-heralded "non-binary" diversity hire had a bad habit of nicking female designer duds from airport carousels and flaunting them on red carpets.

Maybe it’s just me, but as a hardworking taxpayer who gets no choice in the matter, it’d be nice to see Brinton ordered to pay back the $2k the government blew on his professional panty-raid. But then, in the age of rampant government fraud, waste, and abuse, I suppose we can't ask for miracles.
