Rand Paul 'Not Sure Why It's So Hard' to Answer Iraq War Hypotheticals

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is seeking to draw a line between himself and other candidates, mainly Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush, after they supposedly “failed” to answer hypothetical questions posed by the media. The questions being “was the Iraq War a mistake?” and “knowing what we know now, would you still have invaded Iraq?”

Paul appeared on CNN Tuesday was asked why it was so hard for the other candidates to answer those questions. He said, “I’m not sure why it’s so hard, but it shows some differences between the candidates and I think that if people want another Iraq War they know who they can vote for. If they want someone who is not very likely to have another Iraq War and will only go to war when we have to, as the last resort, when we have to defend America or an American interest then there are going to be some other alternatives.”
