Jonathan Stormz was walking in downtown Baltimore when he came upon the inspiring scene of a young man praying over a homeless man on the street. Impressed with the youth's initiative, Stormz was compelled to take a picture and share this compassionate act with the world.
“This was an amazing sight! I pray this kid becomes a leader amongst his peers, and continues on this path,” wrote Stormz in the accompanying Facebook post. “Not all Baltimore youth are lost!”
As of this writing, the post had already been shared over 30,000 times.
According to a 2015 census, there are as many as 3,000 homeless persons in Baltimore on any given night. Many of them veterans who stay close to the Veterans Administration near Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard on the western border of downtown Baltimore.
