The Obama administration over the last year deported about 0.006 percent of the illegal aliens currently living in the United States, leaving millions of undocumented aliens in the country including tens of thousands of criminal aliens – and they want you to be happy about it.

While the latest Enforcement and Removal Operations Report from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) states the agency removed 235,413 illegal aliens from the United States in FY2015, a more detailed breakdown of the data shows ICE removed a mere 69,478 illegal aliens from the interior of the United States in Fiscal Year 2015. Of these, about 92 percent had been previously convicted of a crime.

The other 166,000 or so illegal aliens were kicked out of the country after being apprehended “at or near the border or points of entry,” meaning most hadn’t been residing in the United States when they were deported.

So out of the approximately 12 million illegal aliens currently living in the United States (according to rough estimates from the Department of Homeland Security), ICE managed to deport a grand total of about 0.006 percent. And with another 12,500 family units and 10,600 unaccompanied children having crossed the Southwest border unlawfully in the first two months of FY2016, the revolving door of illegal immigration continues to spin.

Despite its fairly abysmal deportation record, the Obama administration wants you to know it’s working hard to make sure Americans can walk the streets free from any threat posed by a criminal who should never have been in their neighborhood in the first place.

From the report:

In FY2015, ICE sustained the improved quality of its removals by focusing on serious public safety and national security threats. ICE increased the percentage of removals of convicted criminals by 3 percent over FY 2014.

Three percent. Three. Which is really great, especially considering ICE Director Sarah Saldaña told a congressional committee in early December that there are still about 179,000 criminal illegal aliens who have been released by authorities and are now loose in the United States. That same week, ICE bragged about rounding up a grand total of 0.0002 percent of these criminals during a weeklong sting over several states.
