So many things are taken out of context these days that you’re not quite sure what’s real and what’s not — unless you’re satire site Babylon Bee, whose satire often becomes reality. But, one controversial track star is circling the rumor mill with accusations of racism.

Sha’Carri Richardson just won a gold medal at the World Athletic Championships in Hungary, but it’s what happened after the race that has people talking.

Video is circulating on X — formerly known as Twitter — of Richardson allegedly only taking questions from black journalists, telling all other journalists, “No, thank you!”

The clip going around is only 12 seconds, so it’s not exactly clear if this was the case — giving her the benefit of the doubt that the left never gives the right.

However, the clip does display Richardson talking to a black journalist and moving past all the others. If it is indeed the case that Richardson only spoke to black journalists because of some racial issue she has, it would just be par for the course for the establishment narrative that black people can’t be racist.

But if this was taken out of context, shame on the people posting the video for under false pretenses.

I want to think better of people, but our current society has us questioning everything, and that only keeps us as divided as ever. And listen, if that's what Richardson is doing intentionally, that's her right. But, if a white athlete - or an athlete of any other color - said they weren't going to speak to black reporters, they'd be "cancelled" faster than Richardson's 100 meter race time.

Hopefully, she’s not the racist this episode makes her out to be.
