“…looking for direction.”

Those are the words of the supposed leader of a major American city when it comes to the illegal immigrant crisis plaguing his town. That’s socialist Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for you. Actually, that’s most socialists for you. They always want to preach to you about the best ways to live your life, but are rudderless when it comes to taking charge and bringing tangible solutions to problems they themselves create.

Now, this isn’t about Johnson necessarily. This is about more complaints coming from illegal immigrants who don’t belong in places like Chicago in the first place.

WGN did a story on Monday about how illegals are now complaining about the weather and that it’s too much for them.

“The truth is, is that I’m not accustomed to this cold,” Andres Contreras, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant told WGN. “I’ve never seen the snow before. It’s beautiful, it’s too excessive the cold you have here.”

Well, let’s see. You’re from Venezuela. Or Honduras. Or Guatemala. Or somewhere in Africa. You illegally came to the U.S. and went to places like Chicago, New York City and Philadelphia. Now, I’m no expert at geography, but even I could tell you that going north in the northern hemisphere means it’s going to get cold. And I do have compassion. But when you’re here illegally, sucking up resources blindly given to you by a government that doesn’t seem to care about sovereignty or the costs of pretty much anything, do you really have room to complain?

Here’s an idea. If you’re too cold, just do what you did to get to this country and enter it illegally — move. Or, you can go back to your more comfortable climate.

We hear a lot in recent days that migrants say they were lied to concerning the opportunities and amenities they were promised. If only they knew enough to know that nothing is a guarantee in this life and that nothing is a guarantee in this country except life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. Although, to be fair, in order to be entitled to the latter, you need to legally be an American.
