Remember the little kid that was such a Kansas City Chiefs fan he painted his face and wore a head dress, only for a race baiting “sports” writer to accuse the 9-year-old boy of “blackface?” Well, that boy’s family happens to be of Native American heritage, so whoops!

Well, that “whoops” could cost left-leaning “sports” outlet Deadspin a lot of wampum.

On Tuesday, the family of the 9-year-old boy filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware against Deadspin, claiming “The Article falsely alleged that [Holden Armenta] had ‘found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time.’ It alleged that [Holden]’s parents, Shannon and Raul, ‘taught’ [Holden] ‘racism and hate’ at home,” according to lawsuit, as reported by The New York Post.

According to The Post:

The lawsuit was filed following weeks of legal threats by the Armentas, who demanded that the sports news site and its senior writer Caron Phillips issue a retraction for his story headlined “The NFL needs to speak out against the Kansas City Chiefs fan in Black face, Native headdress.”

The article included a photo of the boy that was broadcasted on CBS Sports during the Nov. 26 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, showing him standing in profile and appearing to wear blackface and a traditional Native American headdress.

The piece did not mention, however, that the other half of the boy’s face was painted bright red, depicting two of the Chief’s team colors.

The author of the race baiting piece, Deadspin senior writer Caron Phillips, caused the boy to received death threats and merciless verbal abuse online, with the “tolerant” social media mob attacking the 9-year-old Chiefs superfan.

Deadspin has long been known for its slanted writing, and staff — including an editor — were fired in 2019 for not “sticking to sports — after management explicitly ordered it,” as noted in a 2019 article by The Blaze.

Maybe the activists at Deadspin will finally learn to keep their mouths shut and do a little actual journalism and know what they’re talking about before shooting ignorant crap out their wordholes.
