Forget the fact that inflation is so bad that chain stores, like Family Dollar and Dollar Tree, hardly have any items that actually cost a dollar. And while companies like this don’t have the best business practices, one of the truths behind why they’re now closing is being obscured by the establishment media.

It’s being reported that Family Dollar and Dollar Tree, both part of the same company, will be closing “nearly 1,000 stores,” according to CNN Business.

The report stated the following:

Years of mismanagement and poor conditions in stores have hurt Family Dollar’s brand. Family Dollar, which is owned by Dollar Tree, was recently fined more than $40 million for a rat infestation at a warehouse that forced hundreds of stores to temporarily close.

Decades-high inflation has hit shoppers hard, and a general consumer pullback has impacted Family Dollar customers and the chain’s profits, exacerbating its battle with discount competitors such as Dollar General, Walmart and others.

But, you have to go down to at least the midway point of the CNN article before they begin talking about what most people who live in the real world know that “journalists” who live in their respective bubbles don’t typically experience and don’t want to admit — at least not upfront.

Convenience stores, like CVS and Walgreens, close all the time in high crime areas because the theft is to point that there’s no way the store can turn a profit.

And yet, CNN confined their bringing up the theft issue to half a sentence before returning to blaming the closures on unsafe working conditions for the employees. And that’s probably true, but stores usually don’t just shutter if their bottom line is of the successful variety.

To be fair to CNN, which they don’t deserve, one thing they noted that should be taken into account is the fact that Family Dollar, who again is owned by Dollar Tree, received the “largest-ever monetary criminal penalty [$41.6 million] in a food safety case, the Justice Department said.”

A combination of all these things seems to have slashed and downgraded another company. “Bidenflation” strikes again!
