ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos donated $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation according to a Washington Free Beacon report. Stephanopoulos has been at the head of an ABC News investigation over allegations of the Clinton Foundation taking money from foreign corporations for specialized treatment at the Hillary Clinton-led State Department. In an interview with Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer, Stephanopoulos said:
As you know, the Clinton campaign says you haven't produced a shred of evidence that there was any official action as secretary that supported the interest of donors. We’ve done investigative work here at ABC News, found no proof of any kind of direct action.
In the hours since the story's breaking by the Free Beacon, different media personalities have voiced their opinion on the matter.

Why oh why didn't he just disclose it? It would have been 20 awkward seconds at top of telecast... https://t.co/ssvQxOdt3s

@samsteinhp @StephenGutowski I have no problem with the donation -- despite the ACORNing of the foundation. He needed to disclose to viewers
