Marsha Blackburn Slams Twitter's Leftist Double-Standard on Abortion

Just hours after Twitter pulled her campaign announcement ad over it's pro-life language, Republican U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn slammedTwitter's double-standard when it comes to the issue of abortion.

In a Fox News interview Tuesday of the interview showed the host and Blackburn discussing Twitter's hypocrisy in allowing a pro-choice advertisement on the website despite the potential outrage that it would cause to pro-life Twitter users.

"Yes, it is a double-standard," Blackburn said. "It is astounding to me that Twitter, which is an important outlet would choose not only to censor a political ad, but that they would censor a pro-life message...indeed, the work that our committee delivered stopped this practice of selling baby body parts."

Twitter had previously stated that they would allow the paid advertisement if Blackburn removed her "negative" statement, which read, "I’m 100 percent pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts, thank God.”

However, Twitter users have showed their support for the congresswoman by calling out Twitter's double standard:

The Washington Examiner reports that Twitter has often been charged with suppressing certain views on its website. Blackburn’s case represents yet another instance where Twitter’s left-leaning bias determines the difference between what they deem merely "expressive"  versus "inflammatory" speech, while at the same time claiming to defend their users' ability to express themselves.
