The little indie film that could, despite the protestation of the establishment, propaganda media, has just reached a milestone that very few thought was possible.

“Sound of Freedom,” the Angel Studios film featuring actor Jim Caviezel (“Passion of the Christ,” “The Count of Monte Cristo”) portraying real life hero and former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard’s quest to rescue children from the horrors of child trafficking, has surpassed the $100 million mark at the box office after less than three full weeks in theaters.

According to the box office tracking website Box Office Mojo, “Sound of Freedom” currently sits at $100,905,201 following Wednesday’s take of $4,722,496. Thursday's number aren't in yet, as of this writing.

Since word of mouth has been propelling the movie to new heights, “Sound of Freedom” has been averaging about $5 million per weekday following last weekend’s (Saturday & Sunday) take of $19,789,003 ($27,280,179 if you include Friday, which box office totals do include for weekends).

Only one movie, the Tom Cruise-led “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning,” has taken in more money during the current week than “Sound of Freedom.” Granted “Mission Impossible” came out a little over a week after “Sound of Freedom,” but for a low-budgeted indie film to be holding its own among huge-budgeted summer blockbusters is a testament not only the connection the movie has had with audiences, but quality of the film itself — even if you could somehow, possibly ignore the message.

If “Sound of Freedom” keeps its current trajectory, the film could see its box office total reach $150 million, if not higher.

Remember, as the tagline for the movie powerfully states, “God’s children are no longer for sale.”
