List: the 10 Most Expensive Super Bowl Commercials

The Super Bowl has become the king of primetime advertisement over the course of 49 iterations of the sensational sports event. Some of the most creative and visually stunning advertisments to ever grace a television screen have aired during the Super Bowl.

But, as with most things in business, the grander the scale, the more something costs.

Worthly has compiled a list of the ten most expensive ads in Super Bowl history. The cheapest commercial on the list cost Reebok $4.2 million, which should give you an idea of what you’re in for.

For example, an ad by automotive manufacturer Kia Motors for the 2014 Super Bowl cost them $8 million. You can imagine most of that budget was spent on hiring Laurence Fishburne to reprise his role as Morpheus from the sci-fi hit film “The Matrix” as well as the royalties involved in using the character.
