In a lengthy interview spanning topics from Trump to politics to COVID-19, rapper Kanye West, who recently announced via Twitter that he plans to run for president, said in an interview this week that he believes Planned Parenthood is run by “white supremacists” who are targeting inner city communities to “do the Devil’s work.”

“Planned Parenthoods have been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work,” Kayne said in the interview, according to Forbes.

“I am pro-life because I’m following the word of the Bible,” he added, reiterating a pro-life stance he's testified to in previous interviews.

And as off the wall as some of Kanye’s views might seem, he’s not wrong about this one. Planned Parenthood, which performs roughly one-third of the total number of abortions in the U.S. annually, was founded by eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who made her desire to “exterminate the Negro population” clear in a number of speeches – including a personal address she gave to a group of women with the Ku Klux Klan.

Additionally, a full 70 percent of all Planned Parenthood clinics are located in minority-run neighborhoods. And despite blacks making up only about 13 percent of the entire U.S. population, black women have abortions at a rate nearly five times higher than that of white women.
