In a world full of darkness and brokenness, hope shined through at a small high school in Arkansas.

Earlier this month, nearly 3,000 high school students attended a “Fields of Faith” (FOF) event hosted by Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at Lakeside High School Stadium in Hot Springs, AR.

Micah May, who serves as multi-area director for FCA South Central Arkansas, said that a social media campaign, generous sponsors, and word-of-mouth advertising from students made the event possible.

He was encouraged not because so many people attended, but because of how many people responded to the Gospel message delivered at the event.

Luke 1:37 tells us that God’s Word never fails,” said May. “Truly, there was an unmistakable move of the Holy Spirit. Hundreds of students prayed seeking the Lord, God was present and lives were changed. At the end of the event, after the students had spoken and a call to action was presented to the group, there was a sweet spirit of worship that broke out as the band Crutchfield led in their final songs.”

This is not the first revival event to happen in America this year. Asbury University’s campus experienced a campus-wide, God-inspired movement similar to what happened in Arkansas.

May said that what events such as these - and other events around the world - give him hope that though our world is dark indeed, it does not drown out God’s light.

“God is on the move and we are honored to be a small part of what He is doing,” said May. “To God be all the glory.”
