By now , you're probably familiar with the viral video from back in July of a young woman on an American Airlines flight out of Dallas-Fort Worth who had a meltdown, rushing off the plane screaming “I’m getting the f— off!" after accusing another passenger of being "not real."

The video of the woman went viral quite quickly, causing the internet to nickname her as the “that motherf—- is not real (TMFNR)” lady.

Her incident caused people to explode on Twitter with dialogue about fringe conspiracies regarding the potential existence of reptilian people, aliens, or robots, thus prompting the rise of wacky memes like these:

However, the incident has nothing at all to do with lizard or robot people conspiracies.

After more than a month of baffling the internet, the woman has now been identified as Tiffany Gomas, a marketing executive from Dallas. And the whole incident apparently started after she got into an argument with the person she was sitting next to over – you won’t believe how silly this is – Apple AirPods.

According to the New York Post, cops said the argument had started when Gomas fell out with relatives she was traveling with, who she accused of stealing her AirPods. Her incident caused American Airlines to usher everyone off the plane so that TSA could inspect the plane and passengers aboard could be rescreened through security.

“Due to the statements the flight attendants felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. [The airline manager] explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side,” according to a July 2 paperwork obtained by the Post.

When officers arrived at the gate, Gomas wanted back on the plane and refused to speak to officers about the situation. They gave her a verbal warning and escorted her out of the airport, but she attempted to re-enter through TSA.

Officers ended up giving her with a ticket for a criminal trespass notice, which she refused to sign. She also refused to show the police officers her ID, but was not officially arrested or taken into custody.

I will say the timing is fishy, considering that just around the same time, there was a congressional hearing about the potential existence of UFOs and aliens.

At worst, this story is just Gomas having orchestrated a pretty grand hoax for attention. At best, she was just having a really bad day. It is hard to pinpoint the exact cause of this situation, but nonetheless, it was an absurd and hilarious story that caused quite a conspiratorial stir on the internet.
