In Monday’s Insider bombshell report, journalist Mattathias Schwartz revealed that those who buy Hunter Biden’s “artwork” could also be purchasing a presidential appointment.
“In 2021, when a New York art gallery debuted Hunter Biden’s paintings with asking prices as high as $500,000, the White House said that his team had a process for carefully vetting buyers, and that their identities were known only to the gallery, and not to Hunter Biden himself,” Schwartz said. “The messaging seemed to suggest that his art patrons came from a rarified universe of collectors who had nothing to do with the hurly-burly of politics.”
One of the buyers, though, landed a spot on the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. This year alone, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali donated $13,414 to President Joe Biden’s campaign and $29,700 to the Democratic Congressional Committee. Biden announced her appointment a mere eight months after his son’s first art opening.
While Insider has not been able to determine the timing of Naftali’s purchase, the younger Biden has directly influenced past presidential appointments.

“Eric Schwerin, Hunter Biden’s longtime business associate, was appointed to the same post by President Barack Obama in 2015,” Schwartz noted. “An email apparently from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop written that year suggests that he had sway over Schwerin’s appointment. ‘Eric asked me for one of these the day after the election in 2008,’ he wrote to a cousin who had written inquiring about the possibility of a similar appointment for her mother.”
Another confirmed collector of Biden art, celebrity attorney Kevin Morris, lent Hunter Biden more than $2 million to cover his back taxes and avoid felony penalties for tax evasion, and even gave him a car.
While the story overflows with unknowns, it would not be surprising if those very unknowns are intentional. After all, the mainstream media would hate those details to surface.
