Hillary Targets the Younger Demographic in the Newest SNL Skit

Saturday Night Live has done yet another skit based on Hillary Clinton and her presidential race. Just as SNL is about to close shop for the summer, they performed a parody about young Americans getting ready to enjoy their vacations. But, hilariously (pun intended), Hillary can’t allow young voters to enjoy their summers without forcing her campaigning on them.

It starts with a group of cast members who are so excited for their summer plans that they can’t help but burst into song. Hillary then, as she does multiple times throughout the spoof, interrupts the song and forces herself into their conversation. She says "May I have just a moment of your summer? I'm Hillary Clinton and I'm running for president of these United States," as she “waves” at the group with pincer-like hands. Kenan Thompson’s character remarks about how the election isn’t coming for some time. It’s summer vacation, give it a rest Hillary. "My last vacation was in 1953," she replies. "I played one round of hopscotch with a friend. I found it tedious. Why hop when you can march — straight to the White House."

She even addresses a group of surfers by their age demographic. Perhaps the most vivid imagery within the skit is when she is speaking to young kids (Played by adult cast members), attempting to perhaps influence their parents through some sort of creepy interaction. She tells the “kids” that she likes their sand castle and they remark that it’s their dream house. "Oh neat,” She says dismissively. “This is my dream house," embracing a sandy replica of the White House.

If you’ve liked the other recent Hillary sketches, you’ll probably enjoy this one, as well. Darrell Hammond’s Bill Clinton also makes an appearance. Of course, he shows up when a woman needs suntan lotion applied to her back. Instant classic.
