At only two years old, Sawyer spotted some U.S. soldiers as he disembarked from a flight to Houston, Texas while traveling with the UNC basketball team. The little guy couldn’t help but shake the hands of our nation’s heroes after watching UNC team members do the same.
The Youtube video has reached over 100,000 views as of this writing and the comment section really shows that veterans and their families really appreciate the little boy's gesture.
While appearing on FOX & Friends Thursday morning, Sawyer’s mother, Jocelyn, said, “The fact that Sawyer can make people as happy as he makes our family is amazing."
Chris Frederick, Sawyer’s uncle who first uploaded the video to Youtube, has taken this viral opportunity to ask viewers to donate to charities devoted to veterans.
