Inflation continues to pummel working Americans still recovering from government-imposed pandemic lockdowns and an economic boondoggle. The public education system is imploding thanks to leftist teachers unions keeping classrooms closed for the better part of two years, as Democrat politicians blame boredom and shutdowns for shocking increases in violent crime by juvenile offenders. President Joe Biden continues to embarrass the United States on the world stage, even as media pundits wring their hands over whether videos of him stumbling across stages and tripping down stairs might affect his electability in 2024. And human traffickers continue to exploit our open Southwest border, as drugs and people pour in from Mexico in unprecedented droves.

Thankfully, amid all this upheaval, we’ve got a vice president who’s on the ball and focused on the important stuff: like…whether people can fit into airplane bathrooms.

“The majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable.  Our Administration will soon announce a solution to help end this inequity,” Harris’ official VP Twitter account blasted on Tuesday.

Per Fox News, "Harris' office told Fox News Digital the tweet refers to rules the Department of Transportation drafted last year to upgrade restrooms in new single-aisle aircraft so that they are more accessible to people with disabilities.”

Because making sure everyone can pee comfortably while on short flights within the U.S. is the surely most pressing current matter facing the nation, and is definitely something over which the federal government has constitutional purview.

To which the internet responded with predictable mockery.

But perhaps we should have a bit of grace, here - after all, it's hard to expect a diversity hire to tackle anything of any real consequence. Maybe when she's done telling airplanes how wide to make their bathrooms, Harris can start counting beans in the White House kitchen. That should keep her busy for a bit.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, bored bureaucrats with too much tax money in their congressionally-approved accounts can wreak plenty of havoc on private industries, companies, and consumers with garbage policies and regulations like these - and you can bet this one will be no small exception. Get ready to cough up more cash to go see grandma.
