French President Announces Plans To Deport Criminal Illegal Immigrants

Just months after President Trump praised French President Emmanuel Macron for being a “great” and “tough” president who cracks down on lawbreakers, Macron has announced France will be deporting criminal illegal immigrants.

The Local reports that in a speech on Sunday, Macron stated the French government would deport any illegal immigrant who commits a crime. Macron’s comments come two weeks after a man from Tunisia stabbed two women to death in Marseille. The attacker had been arrested just days earlier for shoplifting.

The Daily Mail claims that under Macron’s new directive, illegals will be deported for “shoplifting and other minor crimes.”

Macron reportedly said in his television interview, "We will take the most severe measures, we will do what we must do."

When running for president, Macron was praised as a “centrist” in contrast to his opponent, National Front leader, Marine Le Pen. Le Pen, at the time, was criticized for her hardline stance against immigration.
