Famous Stuntman Jumps from Helicopter at 2,400 Feet - Without a Parachute!

Ben Graham | May 8, 2015

Gary Connery is one of Hollywood’s best stuntmen. He has worked in a wide range of films, such as “Batman Begins,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” While he has a successful career, that may not be what he is best known for anymore.

We say this because Gary Connery may be the first and only person to ever jump from a helicopter without a parachute - and survive.

Yes, it’s true.

Connery was able to safely reach the ground after making a jump from a helicopter that was 2,400 feet from the ground by using a wingsuit to guide himself with a controlled glide toward an amassed pile of cardboard boxes. After he had “landed,” he emerged from the boxes completely unharmed.

Could you ever convince yourself to do something so crazy?
