Dolezal's Parents Speak Out: 'She Has Very Serious Issues'

Ben Graham | June 16, 2015

During an interview with Megyn Kelly on the “Kelly File,” Rachel Dolezal’s parents answer some questions regarding some of the tall tales she has told of her childhood. Their answers seem to debunk the myths surrounding her chosen identity.

Literally, all of their answers opposed the claims made by the resigned NAACP leader. Was she born in a teepee? No, she was born within the walls her family’s home. Did she grow up hunting with a bow and arrow? No, but her father did.

Did her parents discipline her and her adopted siblings according to their race using an African baboon whip? Solid no. In fact, she was an adult living a separate life by the time the couple had adopted her siblings. She wasn’t even present in their lives when they lived in South Africa. Oh, and that baboon whip? It was used entirely as intended, to ward off those stinking baboons in South Africa.

Larry and Ruth Ann Dolezal say that she has “some very serious issues.” She has terminated all contact with her birth parents, allegedly adopted an entirely false identity, and denied her parents from seeing any the children in her care, including one of their adopted sons who Rachel claims is actually her son.
