A man has been charged with setting a devastating blaze in Yosemite National Park that leftists originally blamed on…climate change.

Because, as we all know, these days finding out the facts takes a backseat to pushing a narrative.

According to this, 71-year-old Edward Fredrick Wackerman of Mariposa, California, has been arrested and charged with felony aggravated arson, arson that causes great bodily injury and arson causing damage or destruction of inhabited structures in connection with the July 2022 Oak Fire, a raging inferno that destroyed 127 homes, forced thousands of people to flee the area, decimated some 20,000 acres, and injured three firefighters.

Leftists had immediately jumped to climate change as the great boogeyman behind the fire – and, frankly, all other fires to boot.

The California Local published in July 2022, “The Oak Fire: How Climate Change Fuels the Most Explosive California Fire of 2022.”  Jon Heggie, a Cal Fire battalion chief, told CNN that same month, “[The Oak Fire] is a direct result of what is climate change.”

The Oak Fire is just one of a slew of wildfires blamed on “climate change,” only for investigators to find out some jerk with a box of matches or lit cigarette was actually at fault. Arsonists are now being blamed for the devastating wildfires that have blazed through the Greek island of Corfu. In 2019, arson was found to be the source of about 9 percent of the 3,086 fires Cal Fire responded to that year alone. And just last Friday, an 18-year-old Arizona firefighter was arrested on suspicion of arson for multiple fires in the Ash Fork area in Arizona’s Yavapai and Coconino counties.
