Thanks to Kleenex, we have a beautiful video of one miracle worker who has finally gotten all of the thanks that she deserves - even if she wasn't looking for it.
Renee Hendrix, who works as a nurse in the neonatal intensive-care unit at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga., was surprised when a group of grateful parents came together to give her an amazing message of gratitude. The group gathered close together as Hendrix watched their video message on a tablet.
“Renee was there the moment my son was born,” said one mother in the video. “The first time he opened both of his eyes, she took a picture to capture it.”
“She asked, 'Do you want to hold him?’” another mother added while tearing up. “None of the other nurses had allowed it. It was the first time that I got to hold him and caress him.”
Wiping tears from her eyes, Hendrix thought that the show of gratitude was over, but it had only just begun.
